Palmer Theological Seminary

PBA is proud to serve in ministry with the Palmer Theological Seminary (PTS).  Palmer, an American Baptist affiliated seminary, is committed to preparing persons for Christ’s ministry in the Church throughout the world in a variety of forms and institutions.   Since its founding in 1925 as Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, this seminary has concerned itself with equipping whole persons to incorporate the whole gospel into varied contexts and relationships.

PTS is intentional in providing a seminary community, both the student body and faculty, that reflects the diversity in the world .  Palmer’s diversity includes seminarians from some 30 nations, ranging in ages from early twenties to early eighties, and from different denominations.

The educational experiences at PTS are designed to allow for seminarians to grow intellectually, in ministry skills, and in spiritual formation.  Weekly chapel services, days of prayer and other so-curricular activities combine to support students in finding their place, call, and  ministry in an ethnically, culturally, politically, and theologically diverse world.
