Dear Colleagues and Friends:
When the pain of oppression forced deep within the collective psyche can no longer be contained its spontaneous combustion drives quakes and aftershocks across society. I am reminded that when a volcano erupts no one gets to determine the direction of the lava flow or the path of its destruction. Of such is the matter of racial justice across our nation and around the world today. The sustained protests throughout the USA concerns us all. For those of you who want to examine the issue of racial justice and learn how best to talk about it, I recommend this website: Talking About Race – National Museum of African American History & Culture (Smithsonian) nmaahc.si.edu/learn/talking-about-race
